What are the legal requirements for registering a domain name?

An ABN (Australian Business Number) or ACN is required for all .com.au or .net.au purchases. This is necessary for the domain transfer process, so if you do not possess either of these credentials upon purchasing a .com.au or .net.au domain, the domain will not be transferred and your funds will be refunded.

.au domain purchases simply require evidence of an Australian presence. You can read how this is defined by auDA here.

If I buy a .com.au or .net.au domain name, do I automatically get rights to the .au?

No – .au domains are completely separate from their .com.au and .net.au counterparts, and we will not always have the .au equivalent for each domain. We may have the .au you are looking for in our range of .au domains, however this would be a separate purchase, unless agreed otherwise. You can contact us directly or use the comments section of the Make An Offer form on your desired domain to request a deal on the .au in combination with the .com.au.

Do I have to register to buy a domain name?

No.  You do not have to register to make a purchase. Currently we are in beta testing and there are no user registrations available. This will change soon, so keep checking back with us.

Do I have to pay to use your website?

At this stage, no. When we introduce the ability to list and sell your own domain names, there will be a small cost (to be advised).

Do you publish the purchase price of the domain name to any third party websites or media?

We reserve the right to do so. However, a purchaser may request us us to keep ultimate sale prices confidential, and we will consider this.

Do you accept Bitcoin for purchases?

Yes we accept Bitcoin. Available at checkout.

What type of payment do you accept and what online payment processor do you use?

We accept online payment via PayPal. If you do not wish to make the purchase online with a credit card or your PayPal account, you can contact us and we will send you our payment details. Payment must be made the same business day please.

Once I have paid for the domain name, what happens next?

Once you have paid for the domain name, either online or direct to our bank, we will initiate the Change of Registrant (CoR) within 1 business day of your cleared payment. If you are with Drop or Synergy Wholesale, we may do a direct CoR to your account (we will need your account email). Alternatively we may do the CoR and send you the EPP code or password so that you can transfer out to your own registrar for free.

Do you offer payment plans on domain name purchases?

For purchases $1500 or less, you can normally do this automatically through our payment processor. For higher priced domains, there is an opportunity to create a short term payment plan (terms and conditions will apply). There is a button on each listing.

Do I receive a Tax Invoice once I have paid for the domain name?

Yes. If you pay for your domain name online, a Tax Invoice will be issued to you within 1 business day.

What is your refund policy?

We offer a 7-day money back guarantee on most purchases (excludes promotions, specials, valuations, and auctions). See here for more information.

Can you sell my domain name?

The ability to list your domain names with us will be coming soon. We just need to test our platform first (which we are doing with our own domains).
